Register a Handset to its Base Station Troubleshoot Connection Issues

Register a Handset to its Base Station

In order for the cordless handset to be able to place and receive calls, the cordless handset will need to be registered to a Base Station.
 

To register the cordless handset to a base station on-site…

  1. Press the OK button on the handset, and then select Settings.
  2. In the Settings menu, select option 6. Registration, then select Register Handset.
  3. Long-press the signal button on the base station until the top LED light begins to flash.
    • At the same time, select Base 1 on the handset.
  4. Allow the handset to search for the base for a few moments. 
  5. Press the OK button after finding a base station successfully.
  6. Enter 0000 when prompted for a PIN.
  7. Press the Done button to complete the registration. 

 


Troubleshoot Connection Issues

If the cordless handset keeps disconnecting when you walk a certain distance away from the base station, try moving closer to the base station and re-registering the handset. If the handset disconnects again when you walk a little farther away, then the handset may be out of range. As a solution, consider investing in a DECT Repeater to expand the range of the base station.

If the cordless handset lost its connection suddenly and cannot reconnect, consider checking another internet device to see if it has a connection. If another device does not have a connection, then it is possible that you may be experiencing an internet outage. It is recommended to contact your Internet Service Provider or IT team to check if there are any reported outages. 
If other devices are able to maintain a healthy connection, then contact our support team to troubleshoot the issue further.
