The Audio Settings of a Yealink Cordless Phone
Just like with desk phones, Yealink cordless handsets can have their ringer and call volume settings adjusted. This article will explore how to configure these settings, along with ringtones and advisory tones.

For many businesses, it can be important to adjust the audio settings of a cordless handset since many employees may be carrying a handset around a building with different expectations for how noise should be handled. May it be turning up a handset's ringer volume in a warehouse or turning off advisory tones for a handset used in a quiet lobby, you can configure these settings with ease.
Ringer Volume
The ringer volume can be adjusted using the menu or the predefined shortcuts (left and right navigation keys) on the keypad when the handset is idle.
The handset supports 5 different ringer volume levels. The default level is 3.
You can adjust your handset's ringer volume using the Left 
or Right 
navigational buttons while the handset is idle (not on a call).
Press to decrease the ringer volume, or press to increase the ringer volume. Press the Save softkey to accept the change or the Back softkey to cancel.
You can also adjust the handset's ringer volume using the handset's Menu:
- Press the OK button and navigate to the Settings section.
- Go to option 2.Audio.
- Select Ring Tones and then Volume.
- Adjust the volume using the or navigational keys.
- Press the Save soft key to finalize these changes.
Call Volume
To adjust the call volume while on a call, press or press to adjust the volume of the currently engaged audio devices (earpiece, headset or loudspeaker).
Make sure to press the Save button to apply these changes.
Ringtones
In the Settings of the handset, the ringtones used by the phone for incoming and intercom calls can be adjusted to fit the User's preference.
To do so…
- Press the OK button and navigate to the Settings section.
- Go to option 2.Audio.
- Select Ring Tones and then Melodies.
- From the Melodies menu, the ringtone for Intercom Calls' and the phone's own ringtone can be adjusted.

Advisory Tones
To navigate to the menu to enable/disable different advisory tones…
- Press the OK button and select Settings.
- Go to option 2.Audio.
- Select Advisory Tones.
- From the Advisory Tones menu, the Keypad Tone, Confirmation Tone, and Low Battery Tone can be enabled or disabled.
- Using the navigation keys, you can move up or down to the desired tone and use the or keys to enable or disable the selected tone.
