Forward a Voicemail to a User Using Your Voicemailbox

Learn how to easily forward a voicemail message to another user using your voicemailbox and its menu options.

While you are listening to your voicemail messages using the voicemailbox menu of your SpectrumVoIP device, you may find that you need to forward a voicemail message onwards to another user. 

To do so…

  1. Access your voicemailbox.

    Quick Tip: You can access your voicemailbox by doing either of the following:

      –  Use the voicemail feature of your desk phone, the SpectrumVoIP Stratus mobile app, or the StratusHUB desktop app.
      –  Call your extension number or DID.
      –  Call your business and have your call transferred to your extension number.

     
  2. When prompted enter your voicemail PIN and press #.

    Note: If you are calling your voicemailbox, you may need to press * to prompt your mailbox to ask for your PIN.

     
  3. Press either 1 to access your New Messages or 2 to review your Old Messages.
  4. After listening to the message, press 3.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Press 1 to send the voicemail to an individual.
    • Press 2 to send the voicemail to all users.
    • Press 3 to send the voicemail to users in your Department, which is set through Stratus.
  6. When the mailbox prompts you to record a message, record a voice message to prepend to the beginning of the voicemail you are forwarding and press #.

    Quick Tip: If you do not want to record a message to be sent with the voicemail you are forwarding, press # instead.

     
  7. Do one of the following:
    • Press 2 to Confirm.
    • Press 3 to Re-record the beginning message.
    • Press 0 to Cancel.
  8. If you pressed 1 to forward the voicemail to an individual, when you are prompted use your dial pad to type the extension number of the user to forward this voicemail message to.
  9. Do one of the following:
    • Press 2 to Confirm.
    • Press 1 to re-enter the extension number of the user to forward to.
    • Press 0 to Cancel

✔ Once your voicemail has forwarded, the mailbox will say “Message sent”.
